“Maybe you don’t need the whole world to love you, you know, maybe you just need one person” -Kermit the Frog
Great quote from “The Muppets.” Really enjoyed this movie! Brings back childhood memories and makes you think of the idealism we all strive for in life.
Ever since I read Alexia Tsotsis’s review on “Source Code,” I knew this was a movie I wanted to see. It involved technology, science-fiction, going back in time essentially (“parallel universes”), and on top of it all, the film largely takes place in Chicago, where I lived for a year during graduate school.
The acting and dialogue weren’t amazing, and it took a while to understand the story and piece it all together, but I was pleasantly surprised by the original Tron movie from 1982. For that time period, the graphics and special effects were actually pretty good, I thought, and better than I expected.
This was SO good. I saw it tonight at the Mashable pre-screening in Manhattan. My quick tweet review: ”Anyone interested in tech, social networking and/or entrepreneurship needs to see #TheSocialNetwork. Thanks @mashable for hosting! #MashTSN”
The film was fast-paced, filled with brilliant lines and great acting. Particularly thought Jesse Eisenberg did a fantastic job with the role of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and by the way, he wasn’t made out as bad as he could have been (other characters were in ways worse). Also thought Justin Timberlake did a great job with the role of Sean Parker.
Here’s the film’s trailer (love the soundtrack for it and the movie itself):
Saw it for the third time tonight, this time with @KyleEllis, a Twitter buddy who is a designer for the New York Post and founder of “Crazy NYC Life.”
The movie is amazing every time, and I learn a few more things each viewing. Also convinced my parents to see it, and they saw it today in Buffalo for the first time — and loved it!
More on Inception here (written after my second viewing).
Here’s an idea for you. If you haven’t seen Inception yet, please do. Bring your thinking cap & an open mind. This movie is so good & masterfully pieced together. (Trailer below and read on for more thoughts; no spoilers, I promise.)
