1. “Maybe you don’t need the whole world to love you, you know, maybe you just need one person” -Kermit the Frog

Great quote from “The Muppets.” Really enjoyed this movie! Brings back childhood memories and makes you think of the idealism we all strive for in life.

  7. Back To Coney Island

It’s been more than a year since I’ve been to Coney Island. Being the last Saturday before Labor Day, I thought what better day to pay a visit?

Today I did a few unique things.

One, I had my first ever Nathan’s hot dog (approaching two years in the city, can you believe that?). Last time at Coney Island, I opted for pizza.

So that was good, I enjoyed it. Then I decided to walk the boardwalk.

  11. Exploring Prospect Park & Park Slope

I spent my Saturday venturing to Prospect Park and exploring the Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope for the first time since moving to NYC. (Park Slope is often discussed as a nice place to live, yet it’s expensive.)

I ended up walking nearly the entire perimeter of Prospect Park (had no idea how much area this covered when I started, crazy amount). Then walked some more around Park Slope to get a flavor for it. Nice neighborhood and perfect day to do this. Sunny and comfortable. Walked 12 miles in all today per the HealthMiles odometer I got from work. Also stopped for a movie at the Park Slope Pavilion — “Midnight In Paris.” Loved it, very entertaining.

Here’s Prospect Park on a map:

  13. Thoughts on “Source Code”

Ever since I read Alexia Tsotsis’s review on “Source Code,” I knew this was a movie I wanted to see. It involved technology, science-fiction, going back in time essentially (“parallel universes”), and on top of it all, the film largely takes place in Chicago, where I lived for a year during graduate school.
