My 1st day at HuffPost was 11-9-09, so I’ve officially been there one year now! I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such talented people and remain humbled to walk through these doors every day. I also *love* my job, tracking real-time trends and breaking news, filing stories and helping with social media - so passionate about these areas.
On this anniversary, it’s fun to look back on the last year and reflect a bit on what’s happened since, such as helping with our coverage of the World Cup, Haiti earthquake, Chilean miners rescue and 2010 elections, and our debut of tweets in the splash on front page. It was also fun calling TIME out on publishing an erroneous tornado photo, reviewing iPad apps, tackling why “Merry Christmas” was trending on Twitter in August, and having a post on a Facebook meme go viral with more than 30,000 “likes”. The anniversary also has me excited for the year ahead. Here’s to a great next year.
